South Torfrey FarmSouth Torfrey is a working organic farm, producing Longhorn beef, eggs and Christmas poultry. You’re welcome to stroll around and take a look at what we do, talk farming with Simon and sit in his tractor (heaven for some of our young visitors!). |

The Hobby Farm will offer a more hands-on experience of country living: albeit small scale, with an emphasis on sweet and fluffy.
Planned for completion in 2007, we have already started expanding our menagerie of cuddly and rare breeds. The children can collect bantam eggs from our fancy chickens, meet Swallow a retired Longhorn cow, and our small flock of Portland sheep together with their lambs. We have planted fruit trees and dug a vegetable patch from which you will be able to harvest fresh organic produce whenever you like. I hope that it will inspire a few of our visitors to get planting at home. We’re also planning soon to get a house cow, which will be milked daily by hand, and from full cream milk we can make small quantities of fresh Cornish butter, yoghurt and soft cheese. Using traditional methods, you will be able to try your hand at butter churning. |
